1 July 2012 U/15 National Championships Individuals & Teams
At the inaugural U/15 Boys Sabre National Championships
Sean Andrews, James Boyd-Hoare & Jack Snell competed
both the individual event & also represented NSW in the NSW B' Team.
In the individual Championships, the boys competed against fencers from all over Australia
and fencers from Singapore.
All boys made it into the top 16. James Boyd-Hoare had to compete for the 16 against a South Australian, winning the bout 15/7!
In the direct elimination for the top 8, all boys competed against the Singapore team, who would go on to fence in the top 4.
Sean Andrews lost his bout 15/9!
In the individuals:
Jack Snell 14th
Sean Andrews 15th
James Boyd-Hoare 16th
The boys were the youngest in the field.

Teams:
Sean Andrews, James Boyd-Hoare & Jack Snell were accompanied by Adam Taras in the NSW B'Team.
Over all there 6 teams entered. For the first round NSW B' who were seeded 4th, competed against
South Australia and won 45/ 37!
They then went on to compete against the Singapore Teams and lost 45 / 14 in an exciting semi final.
The boys all took = 3 rd place (Bronze)!
The Singapore cheer!

As part of the 2012 U/15 & Cadet National Championships
Fencers from Mosman Musketeers attended the preparation
camp for the Championships.
The camp was run by the National Foil & Sabre coach and attended by
fencers from all over Australia.
